The first record for medical use of dragon’s blood has been appeared in
the Chinese medical literature of Grandfather Lei’s Discussion of Herb
Preparation by Lei Xiao (470 A.D).
It has been used externally to stop bleeding, promote generation of flesh,
and contain ulceration in the treatment of traumatic injuries, non-healing ulcers and hemorrhoids with
swelling and pain.
It has also been used internally to activate blood circulation, remove blood, stasis, and relieve pain in
the treatment of menstrual pain, amenorrhea, postpartum chest congestion and dyspnea.
